1. Registration

1.1 – When registering for the AEN Valorant Autumn Series, only one member is required to enter the full team. Your roster can not be edited / added to once you have entered – to do so, you must contact an administrator for instructions on how to edit your roster.
1.2 – When entering any paid events (eg: AEN Autumn Series Stage 2) no refunds are able to be processed once the event commences.
1.3 – When entering your team, the first 5 players listed will be considered the ‘core roster’
1.4 – Teams are allowed up to TWO (2) substitutes. Substitutes must be listed as the 6th and / or 7th player.

2. Roster Information

2.1 – Teams who are invited, or advance to Stage 2 via the Open Qualifier MUST maintain three (3) of its initial core roster to remain as a ‘Active roster’ – Substitutes (anyone who is listed as the 6th and/or 7th player) are not considered a ‘core player’.
2.2 – All players MUST have their RIOT ID listed in their player profile (excluding the Open qualifier)
2.3 – Fill ins are at the discretion of the opposing team. Should a team wish to use someone that is NOT listed as a team member, permission must be granted by the opposing team, and proof of said permission given to an event admin.
2.4 – Teams must maintain 3 players of their initial roster. Roster swaps are permitted until roster lock [10/11/21 @ 11:59pm]

3. VETO and Map Selection

Maps in rotation:
Bind
Haven
Split
Breeze
Icebox
Ascent
Fracture

3.1Best of 1 VETO process:
3.1.1 – Team with the highest seed (Closest to 0) picks Team A or Team B [Team A = Ban first / Team B = Selects starting side of selected map]
3.1.2 – Teams will alternate banning ONE map each until there is one map left over.
Example
Team A – BANS Bind

Team B – BANS Haven
Team A – BANS Split
Team B – BANS Breeze
Team A – BANS Icebox
Team B – BANS – Ascent
Fracture is left over and is the map to be played

3.2Best of 3 VETO process:
3.2.1 – Team with the highest seed (Closest to 0) picks Team A or Team B [Team A = Ban first / Team B = Selects starting side of selected map]
3.2.2 – Teams will alternate banning ONE map each using the following example.
Example
Team A – BANS Bind
Team B – BANS Haven
Team A – PICKS Split – Team B selects starting side
Team B – PICKS Breeze – Team A selects starting side
Team A – BANS Icebox
Team B – BANS Ascent
Fracture is left over and will be the ‘decider map’
3.2.3 – In the event that the ‘decider map’ is required, A knife round will be played with the winner selecting the starting side [SEE RULE 3.4 BELOW FOR KNIFE ROUND SETTINGS]

3.3Best of 5 VETO Process:
3.3.1 – Team with the highest seed (Closest to 0) picks Team A or Team B [Team A = Ban first / Team B = Selects starting side of selected map]
3.3.2 – Teams will alternate banning ONE map each using the following example.
Example
Team A – BANS Bind
Team B – BANS Haven
Team A – PICKS Split – Team B selects starting side
Team B – PICKS Breeze – Team A selects starting side
Team A – PICKS Breeze – Team B selects starting side
Team B – PICKS Icebox – Team A selects starting side
Fracture is Team A’s map advantage (Upper bracket team holds a 1 map advantage)

3.4.3 – A coin flip will decide who starts on attack and defence on the final map of the series. Both teams are too see and understand the result of the coin flip prior to the final map starting. [See 6. Server and In-Game Rules]

4. Match Times and Rescheduling

4.1 – All match times will be available for viewing on all brackets and group stage schedules once registrations close.
4.2 – Matches are able to be started earlier than the scheduled match time should both teams wish to do so.
4.3 – Once a match is scheduled, teams have 20 minutes to be in the match lobby.
4.3.1 – If a team is not in the match lobby within 20 minutes of the scheduled start time, they will forfeit one map. For each additional 5 minutes they delay, an additional map is forfeited until a result is determined.
4.4 – Teams are permitted to request a ‘reschedule’ (excluding Open Qualifier matches BEFORE seeding matches) – However a minimum of 24 hours notice must be given.
4.4.1 – Finals matches are NOT able to be rescheduled.
4.5 – Teams must NOT abuse the timeout feature when Tournament mode is activated.
4.5.1 – Teams may only use a Technical timeout for up to [5 minutes] per half, totalling [10 minutes] throughout the match for technical issues.
4.5.2 – Teams may only use a Tactical timeout TWICE per half for [60 seconds] each. totalling [4 minutes] throughout the match for tactical timeouts.
4.5.3 – When a pause is taken, the team who issued the pause MUST communicate the reasoning for the pause via the In-Game All Chat. (eg: “tac” or “tech”)
4.5.4 – The opposing team has the ability to claim a forfeit win if the previously mentioned timeout limits are breached.

5. Agent Restrictions

5.1 – Currently, there are NO restrictions to the available Agents in play. The only time an Agent is restricted is during a ‘Knife Round” [See rule 3.2 above]
5.2 – Should a new Agent be introduced to Valorant, there will be a two (2) week cool down period until said Agent can be used. This rule is effective as of 2/10/21.
Example: New Agent is introduced 10/10/21, it can not be used until 24/10/21.

6. Server and In-Game Rules

6.1 – Tournament Mode MUST be used in all AEN Spring Series matches. Cheats are to be turned OFF.
6.2 – Illegal Bomb Plants and Defused are prohibited.
6.2.1 – Illegal Bomb Plants are considered to be plant spots where the Defending team CAN NOT defuse.
6.2.2 – Illegal Bomb Defuses are considered to be a defuse spot where less than half of the bomb is visible to the defusing player. Defuses CAN NOT be performed through a solid surface as per the previous note.
6.3 – Illegal Map Exploits and jump spots are prohibited.
6.3.1 – An Illegal Jump Spot or exploit is considered to be an area on the map in-which a player is standing on, or jumping to an invisible ledge, roof, wall etc.
6.4 – Cheating with ANY third party software (ie: aimlock, wall hacks etc) where a player gains an unfair advantage is STRICTLY prohibited. Any instances of this will result in an immediate team disqualification.
